A 99,000-cubic-meter large-scale ethane-ethylene carrier has been named PACIFIC SP MINERVA and delivered to its buyer. It was the third such carrier independently designed and built by Jiangnan Shipyard (Group) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited in Shanghai, for Pacific Gas (Hong Kong) Holdings Limited. As the world’s largest ethane-ethylene carrier in terms of cargo capacity, PACIFIC SP MINERVA has a total length of 230 meters, a beam of 36.6 meters, and a depth of 22.5 meters. It is equipped with an innovative B-type cargo containment system and is designed for shipment of various kinds of liquefied gases such as ethane, ethylene and liquefied petroleum gas. (....)
