A freighter loaded with 87 tons of cargo and mail recently departed from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, marking the official launch of Air China Cargo Co., Ltd. (Air China Cargo)’s Guangzhou–Beijing–Glasgow all-cargo route.
This new route fills a gap in Air China Cargo’s direct freighter services from South China to Scotland, providing an efficient and stable intercontinental logistics corridor for key industries such as high-value manufacturing, cross-border e-commerce, and biopharmaceuticals. It also significantly enhances the company’s international air cargo competitiveness in Guangzhou and across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Leveraging Glasgow’s role as a vital hub in the UK and broader European economic region, the new route will further strengthen industrial and supply chain connectivity between China and the UK, helping to elevate the quality and scale of bilateral trade. (....)
