Brussels/Geneva - ACI EUROPE (Airports Council International) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) welcomed the adoption today of an EU Council Recommendation for external travellers coming into the EU and called for further action to help re-start air connectivity. The new regime aligns with the Recommendation already adopted in January regarding intra-EU travel, and thus further strengthens the principle of travel criteria based on travellers’ personal health status rather than on the epidemiological situation of the country or area of departure.
