• The purpose‑built facility will be operated by Alstom for the next 15 years to maintain Melbourne’s newest trams.
• Manufactured in Victoria with a 65% local content requirement, the program supports up to 1,900 local jobs across manufacturing, construction and the supply chain.
17 October 2025 – Alstom, global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, today marked a major milestone for Melbourne’s tram network with the official opening of the new Maidstone tram depot and the arrival of the first next-generation G Class Tram manufactured from Alstom’s Dandenong site.
