May 30, 2025 - Alstom, a global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, announces the signing of a contract with ViaMobilidade, the operator of São Paulo’s Lines 8-Diamond and 9-Emerald, and the Government of São Paulo, enabling a R$1 billion investment to modernize the signalling system of both lines. The agreement includes the implementation of the first European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 2 in Latin America, marking a new milestone in the modernization of urban mobility in São Paulo’s capital.
