A more stable Asia-Pacific operating environment helped frame Southeast Asia’s performance in August, as regional flight cancellations declined 23% month over month despite scheduled traffic exceeding 1.14 million flights. Within Southeast Asia, the rankings reflected three defining forces: momentum, consistency and scale.
Within Southeast Asia, airlines tracked in the report operated 98,075 flights and recorded a combined on-time arrival rate of 76.60%. The rankings reflected a market shaped by momentum, consistency and scale. Singapore Airlines moved into first place, while Scoot achieved the strongest month-over-month improvement among the top five. Malaysia Airlines remained broadly stable, AirAsia operated the largest flight volume among the ranked carriers, and Garuda Indonesia completed the leading airlines in the region. (....)
