• Four 24-metre eSAIL® suction sails installed on Maersk Tahiti at Chengxi Shipyard in Jiangyin, China • Second vessel completed in bound4blue – Maersk Tankers collaboration, covering 20 sails across five MR tankers Barcelona, 30 April 2026 – bound4blue has completed the second in an agreed rollout of five ‘plug and play’ suction sail installations across Maersk Tanker’s advanced fleet of medium-range (MR) tankers. The project saw four 24-metre eSAILs® fitted onboard Maersk Tahiti at Chengxi Shipyard in Jiangyin, China, positioning the 29,445gwt vessel to slash emissions, achieve double digit fuel savings, and enable simpler regulatory compliance. The first contracted installation – on board the Maersk Trieste – was completed this January. In total, 20 of the revolutionary units will be installed on five ships, marking bound4blue’s largest ever single agreement.
