Direct Rail Connection and Iron Silk Road Gateway
One of the most significant advantages of the cargo-partner iLogistics Center Dunajská Streda is its direct connection to the METRANS intermodal terminal. This allows containers arriving by train from European ports such as Bremerhaven, Hamburg, Koper, Rotterdam, Trieste, and Istanbul to be transferred directly from the rail tracks to the warehouse. By eliminating last-mile trucking, cargo-partner saves customers up to two days of transit time while significantly reducing CO₂ emissions as well as costs for trucking and container storage at the terminal.
The facility also serves as a strategic deconsolidation hub for LCL rail shipments via the Iron Silk Road, complementing cargo-partner’s hub in Brwinów, Poland.
