As of Nov 25, 2023, the cargo throughput for this year via the ship lock of the Three Gorges Dam had exceeded 156 million metric tons, setting a new annual record, according to Three Gorges Corporation of China (CTG). The cargo throughput of the ship lock of the Three Gorges Dam has totaled 1.996 billion tons since it started operation in 2003. For the past 20 years, the hub management center of CTG has been devoted to improving operation and management of the ship lock of the Three Gorges Dam. (....)
