This service is operational as of March 2026 on CMA CGM's shipping lines and is based on an initial deployment of five specifically adapted containers. The battery market has experienced rapid and sustained expansion for the last several years thanks to the growing demand for energy storage solutions and the rise of electric vehicles. This growth has fueled the increasing need for transport solutions for used batteries from island territories to recycling facilities located on the mainland. (....)
