During the pilot, the Windrose Technology electric truck travelled a total of 1,383 kilometers round trip, with a travel time of 19 hours and two rapid charges. The truck achieved a minimum range of 670 kilometers, with an average consumption of 1.26 kWh/km and a weight of 31 tonnes. Data from the pilot shows it avoided approximately one tonne of CO2 emissions, demonstrating the direct impact of this technology. Building on this achievement, which adds to a successful trial conducted in China earlier this year, new pilot projects for electric trucks are expected to be launched in other European countries including France, Benelux and the United Kingdom. In addition, the project will likely be repeated in Spain, this time using duo trailers in line with the General Vehicle Regulation amendment, published by the Director General of Transport on 23rd October 2025.
