A brand-new A320neo airplane was delivered to China Eastern Airlines Holding Co., Ltd. (China Eastern) on Oct 12 at Airbus's delivery center in North China's Tianjin Municipality. It was powered with five percent Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in its maiden flight from Tianjin to Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi Province. SAF refers to the alternative fuel produced from waste animal fat and vegetable oil, municipal solid waste and forestry and agricultural residue. (....)
