• €200 million investment to extend and modernize Latakia’s container terminal • Port capacity to reach 1 million+ TEUs annually • Digitalization and infrastructure upgrades to support larger vessels and regional trade • Planning for connection to rail and road to serve the global economy of Syria Following the meeting in Damascus between the Syrian President and CMA CGM Group’s Chairman and CEO, Rodolphe Saadé, it has been decided to accelerate the launching of the second phase of the Latakia Port expansion project in Syria. This new phase will directly complement the initial phase of €30 million investment that is undergoing and represents a strategic commitment of €200 million in the near future. (....)
