The Port of Piraeus in Greece saw the arrival of 140 China-made new-type electric buses on March 3. The buses were shipped by China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation Limited (COSCO SHIPPING Group) from Lianyungang Port in East China's Jiangsu Province. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation of Greece inked an agreement with China-based Yutong Bus Co., Ltd. on purchasing 250 China-made electric buses in 2023. The buses are scheduled to be put into service by the end of April this year in Athens and Thessaloniki. The general manager of the Athens Urban Transport Organization - OASA pointed out that the plan to include new electric buses in the public transportation system is a milestone in the field of urban public transportation in the country.
