DAF has started series production of the XG Electric and XG+ Electric. The Eindhoven-built vehicles combine award-winning, highly efficient electric powertrain technology with superior driver comfort. The first truck, a XG+ tractor with 350 kW/480 hp, will be delivered to the German logistics service provider Hellmold & Plank
.DAF offers a complete series of EV-trucks, which ranges up from a 12 tonne XB Electric for city distribution up to the XG and XG+ Electric for longer haul applications. The XG Electric and XG+ Electric share their DNA with the XD and XF Electric trucks, jointly voted ‘International Truck of the Year 2026’ for their high efficiency, smooth drivelines and excellent driver comfort.
Hellmold & Plank, 122 years in business
The commissioning of the new XG+ Electric is a next milestone in the growing DAF Electric truck fleet of Hellmold & Plank from Gießen, in the heart or Germany. The logistics service provider already deploys various zero-emission DAF vehicle models across a wide range of applications, such as shuttle transport and the supply of drugstores. The family-owned company, which has been in business for 122 years, also uses PACCAR charging equipment to benefit from DAF’s zero-emission transport solutions.
