Pressemitteilung: Enabling a pragmatic, operator-led automated mobility future
Leading the dialogue on the future of automation in road transport at EUCAD 2025, IRU organised a workshop on AI and logistics, ensuring that the voice of operators was central to Europe’s cooperative, connected and automated mobility (CCAM) agenda. IRU partnered with the European Commission and the European Partnership on CCAM at EUCAD 2025, bringing together EU policymakers, industry leaders, researchers and road authorities. Held in Ispra, Italy, the conference explored how CCAM technologies can support Europe’s digital and climate goals. An IRU-organised workshop, part of the Horizon Europe-funded AIthena project, focused on explainable, human-centric AI solutions for logistics and freight transport. The session showcased how transport operators can lead innovation when supported by the right policy, funding and research frameworks.
