Pressemitteilung: EUROCONTROL aviation network update

With the clock change on 31 March, many airlines moved to summer schedules. Together with the impact of Easter, this resulted in a significant increase in the number of flights in the EUROCONTROL Network of nearly 10% - to 28,381 flights/day for the week 1-7 April (week 14), around 95% of the 2019 level and 8% more than the same week in 2023. This was despite the impact of Storm Kathleen, which affected Ireland over the weekend. Ryanair in particular added 519 flights/day (+19%) compared to week 13, reaching an average of 3,299 daily flights, followed by easyJet (+16% to 1,658) and Turkish (+11% to 1,470). Overall, 6 of the top 10 airlines saw growth of over 10%. (....)
