Brussels, 4 February 2026: Following the conclusion of the 2025 Digital European Sky Call for the next phase of the SESAR programme, the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking (SJU) has today announced the results, whereby EUROCONTROL will be taking part in 21 of the 42 selected Industrial Research (IR) or Exploratory Research (ER) projects – with the Agency coordinating five IR projects and one ER project, and contributing to another 15 (13 IR and 2 ER).
As one of the SJU’s founding members, EUROCONTROL is delighted to renew its commitment to the partnership and the Digital European Sky research and innovation programme which aims at speeding up the transition towards a green, climate-neutral and digital Europe, and at making European industry more resilient and competitive, bringing substantial value for every stakeholder in the aviation value chain.
This latest decision represents an important reinforcing of the Agency’s innovation strategy regarding the future of ATM innovation, one of the core drivers behind our new Trajectory 2030 strategy. (....)
