Today, Eurostat released the European Statistical Monitor, a dashboard with monthly and quarterly indicators covering different areas, such as economy, environment, business, health and work.
This monthly updated dashboard is designed to track developments within the EU as a whole and its members, as well as the EFTA countries, providing a holistic overview of key developments. Economic sentiment strengthens alongside easing inflation, while house prices continue to rise
The EU Economic Sentiment Indicator improved notably, whilst monthly business indicators showed mixed signals - retail trade and production in services and international trade in goods all increased, while industrial production showed a slight decline.
Inflation moderated, while house prices continued their steady upward trend. Labour market conditions remained favourable, with a low and stable level of unemployment. (....)
