Today, Eurostat released the European Statistical Monitor, a dashboard with monthly and quarterly indicators covering different areas, such as economy, environment, business, health and work.
This monthly updated dashboard is designed to track developments within the EU as a whole and its members, as well as the EFTA countries, providing a holistic overview of key developments. Inflation rises, while the EU economy continues to grow and the labour market remains robust
The EU economy continued to grow, while inflation edges further. Meanwhile, economic sentiment improved, moving closer to its long-term average.
The labour market maintained a broadly stable picture, with employment reaching a historic high. Both unemployment and labour market slack remained unchanged, while the job vacancy rate decreased slightly. The number of first-time asylum seekers decreased. (....)
