Pressemitteilung: Europe’s Rail launches €6.1 million Call to advance sustainable and passenger-centred rail transport
Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking has launched its Call for Proposals 2026-01, with a total EU contribution of €6.1 million. The Call and its two call topics are open for submission until 7 May 2026. The Call has a focus on forward-looking transport concepts: • the development of light weight and cost-efficient rolling stock, and automated Multi-Modal Mobility-System with “moving infrastructures” • the development of hyperloop through support to safety and certification guidelines, including the functional validation of safety components For more information on the Call, please consult our Work Programme 2026 and our ‘Call for Proposals’ page. Europe’s Rail Information Day The Call for Proposals 2026-01 will be presented during the Europe’s Rail Info Day, which will take place online on 9 February 2026, from 9:30 to 12:00 (CET). The event will feature a presentation of the upcoming Call and its two call topics, guidance on the EU legal and financial requirements applicable to the Call, and a live Q&A session with Europe’s Rail experts.
