Germany has approved the nationwide use of ERNA, a digital driver assistant developed by ESTA member Sommer, marking a significant step forward in the digitization of the heavy transport industry. ERNA, which provides real-time route guidance, driving restrictions, and rest area information, has been adopted as a tool to enhance road safety and reduce administrative burdens for truck drivers.
