Runway incursions are among the most persistent threats to aviation safety. GAPPRI, the newly published Global Action Plan for the Prevention of Runway Incursions, is a roadmap for addressing risk and instilling resilience, enabling governments and industry not only to cope with increases in traffic, but also to be proactive in anticipating and addressing problems. Under the leadership of ICAO, IATA, ACI WORLD, CANSO, EUROCONTROL and the Flight Safety Foundation, more than 100 organisations have contributed to GAPPRI. (....)
