Stadler Rail Service UK will continue to maintain Greater Anglia’s fleet of 58 FLIRT bi-mode and electric multiple units for the next two years. The two parties have agreed a full-service contract extension to ensure the continuity of the maintenance and technical support of one of the UK's best performing train fleets. The milestone coincides with Stadler’s tenth anniversary in the UK, having grown into a nationwide supplier of services to the rail industry, committed to providing reliable public transport.
Since entering service in 2019, the Stadler-built FLIRTs have become a cornerstone of the operator’s reliable and efficient regional and intercity routes – thanks largely to the bi-mode technology which enables service on electrified and non-electrified lines. (....)
