The use of HVO fuel in Thermo King units offers 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and particulate matter pollution, with no penalty in engine performance in comparison to fossil fuels. Brussels, Belgium – August 20, 2024 – In recent months, Europe has witnessed an increase in the availability of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO[1], also marketed under the name XTL) fossil-free diesel fuel across Central and Southern Europe, in addition to already widespread public availability in Northern Europe.
