Mr. Paul Sadler, former representative of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS), and prior to that representative of the Government of the United Kingdom to IMO, has received the prestigious International Maritime Prize for 2020. The prize was presented at the annual IMO Awards Ceremony held on 6 December in London and streamed online. The event also honoured exceptional bravery at sea. IACS and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland nominated Mr. Sadler for the prize, which is awarded annually to the individual or organization judged to have made a significant contribution to the work and objectives of IMO.
