IRU and UN-OHRLLS held high-level talks today on international trade tools essential for economic growth in landlocked countries. The Secretary General of IRU, Umberto de Pretto, and Rabab Fatima, the High Representative for the United Nations Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS), today weighed solutions to the special challenge faced by the world’s 32 landlocked developing countries (LLDCs): no direct territorial access to the sea.
