• The MCS technology publicly demonstrated today as part of EVS38 – the leading electric mobility symposium hosted by Volvo Group – using a Volvo electric truck.
Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Gothenburg, Sweden – 16 June 2025 – Milence, the company building Europe’s largest public charging network for electric heavy-duty vehicles, announces the expansion of its Landvetter charging hub near Gothenburg. The upgraded site has introduced Megawatt Charging System (MCS) technology and doubled its CCS (Combined Charging System) capacity. This is an important step towards completing Europe’s first high-power electric corridor for trucks and enabling long-haul electric transport.
This milestone was marked on June 16 during EVS38, the global electric mobility symposium held in Gothenburg, where Milence hosted the first public demonstration of MCS charging, with a fully electric Volvo truck and using the latest protocol showcasing the future of zero-emission long-haul transport.
