Paris MoU and Tokyo MoU – CIC on cargo securing
Through a press release issued on 03 August, the Paris and Tokyo MoUs published their questionnaire for this year’s CIC. The questionnaire contains ten questions to verify compliance with cargo securing requirements. Seven of these questions may be considered grounds for detention, while questions 1, 6 and 10a/10b should only result in non-detainable deficiencies.
The CIC will be incorporated into routine PSC inspections from September to November 2026.
