The European Commission is currently reviewing the Air Services Regulation (Regulation (EC) 1008/2008) to ensure it is in line with moves to make aviation more sustainably, smarter, more resilient and socially responsible. As stated in the Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy, reviewing the Regulation will help prepare the air services sector for the future, while continuing to ensure connectivity and competition, protect consumer interests, and preserve high quality employment.
