EDREAMS IS NO.1 PIRATE IN JAN OVERCHARGING CUSTOMERS BY UP TO 125% (€26.99 FOR A €12 RESERVED SEAT ON RYANAIR.COM) / Ryanair today (10 Jan) released its Jan OTA Pirate survey, which revealed eDreams as the no.1 Pirate, overcharging customers by a scandalous 125% for a reserved seat that costs just €12 on Ryanair.com. While eDreams is the worst OTA Pirate in Jan, other OTA Pirates also made the “consumer rip-off” podium with Opodo overcharging by 108% (€38.31 for a €18.79 10kg bag), and On the Beach overcharging by 63% (£34.99 for a £21.49 20kg bag). The most dishonest of all these OTA Pirates is their fake “extra requests” fee of €30 that On the Beach is scamming consumers for on a non-existent “service”. (....)
