Schiphol looks back on successful summer months. In July and August, 13.2 million travellers flew to, from or via Schiphol. This is an increase of 3.6% compared to the summer months of 2024. Most passengers flew to Spain, the United Kingdom, Greece, Italy and the United States. The number of flights to and from Schiphol during the summer was 86,936. That is an increase of 1.6% compared to 2024.
'For many people, summer is the ideal time to go on holiday. And they like to do so via Schiphol. Half of the departing travellers lives in the Netherlands. That underlines our role as a national airport, which we fulfil thanks to the efforts of thousands of colleagues at Schiphol. Because of them the summer went smoothly, and we received more than 200,000 travellers each day, totalling around 13.2 million. That's an achievement we can be proud of as the Netherlands.' (....)
