A new update of the Schiphol website and app means travellers now have real-time insight into the time they spend at the airport after landing. By cleverly combining up-to-date walking and waiting times, Schiphol provides a clear and reliable overview of the journey through the terminal – from landing to leaving the airport. For travellers without checked baggage, the expected walking time and possible waiting time at the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee's passport control are shown immediately. For travellers with checked baggage, exit time is determined by the longest waiting time, either at passport control or baggage reclaim. This development means that travellers know when they'll be standing outside again with their suitcases, or which train they can catch to continue their journey. It's also convenient for people picking travellers up from Schiphol – by checking the web page or app, they know exactly when to expect someone. (....)
