Amsterdam, the Netherlands and London, United Kingdom, 16th June 2025 - Smart Freight Centre and PragmaCharge are launching the Poland-Germany Zero Emission Freight Corridor program, the largest road transport CO2 and GHG emissions reduction initiative in Europe.
• Smart Freight Centre and PragmaCharge are launching the Poland-Germany Zero Emission Freight Corridor program, the largest road transport CO2 and GHG emissions reduction initiative in Europe.
• Heavy-duty truck freight accounts for more than 1 billion kilometers annually on the A2 and A4 highways from Warsaw and Kraków in Poland to Berlin in Germany.
• Poland has one of the oldest truck fleets in Europe, with over 37% of road tractors greater than 10 years old, presenting a significant opportunity to adopt electric trucks and make a major impact in reducing GHG emissions.
• A consortium, led by Smart Freight Centre, includes some of the world’s largest shipping and logistics companies and their major carriers to join forces to decarbonize Europe’s busiest trucking corridor.
• PragmaCharge, a leading pan-European electric trucking-as-a-service provider, is to deliver comprehensive Fleet Electrification and Charging Services.
