In addition to cost efficiency and service quality, the ability of companies to offer sustainable solutions to their customers is also a key factor in the competitiveness of the logistics market. To advance sustainability, Waberer’s will therefore focus in the coming years on developing green logistics services, establishing sustainable logistics properties, accelerating digitalisation, expanding its fleet of alternatively powered vehicles and reducing emissions. In 2025, the logistics segment’s location-based GHG intensity relative to revenue decreased by 6% compared with 2024, while by 2030 the company will launch developments that support the green transition across its entire logistics service portfolio.
Sustainability expectations for companies now go far beyond legal compliance. An increasing number of international and domestic partners expect transparent data on emissions, energy use and supply chain sustainability, as these considerations are also playing an increasingly important role in financing and investment decisions. Waberer’s believes that companies capable of integrating sustainability into their business operations and offering their customers solutions that support their sustainability goals will gain an advantage.
