Pressemitteilung: The CMA CGM Foundation Continues Its Commitment to Addressing Food Insecurity and Distributes 4,000 Food Parcels to Lebanese NGOs with the Active Participation of Its Volunteer Staff members
In response to the prolonged socio-economic challenges facing Lebanese families, the CMA CGM Foundation, chaired by Tanya Saadé Zeenny, reinforces its long-term commitment to food security through the distribution of 4,000 food parcels across Lebanon. In partnership with numerous NGOs, the CMA CGM Foundation distributed 84 tons of essential goods throughout the country, reaching Akkar, Tripoli, Bourj Hammoud, Zahle, Beirut, Saida, Jezzine, Tyre, and the border villages. This large-scale operation provided vital food assistance to more than 20,000 people during the holiday season. More than 200 staff members from the CMA CGM Group volunteered on the ground, working closely with beneficiary families. This hands-on involvement reflects the CMA CGM Foundation’s strong human and solidarity-driven commitment to supporting the most vulnerable communities. Since 2020, the CMA CGM Foundation has distributed over 12,000 food parcels and provided 4 million hot meals across Lebanon. In addition, since 2023, the Foundation has been supporting the community kitchen “Cuisine de Mariam,” which produces and distributes more than 3,000 hot meals daily in the Quarantine neighborhood of Beirut.
