Track-laying of the entire Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway in Indonesia was completed on March 26, laying a solid foundation for full operation of the line. Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA) was responsible for the track-laying task over 279.4 kilometers, which included 112.8 kilometers of ballast track. A total of about 38,100 metric tons of steel rails manufactured to Chinese high-speed railway standards were used in the project, which was the first time China exported 50-meter rails to an overseas market in large quantities.
