This whitepaper examines the socio-economic and environmental impacts of logistics services integrated into mobility hubs. It draws on experiences from the MoLo Hubs project and explores how different solutions can improve local accessibility, reduce unnecessary vehicle travel and emissions, and support more efficient and sustainable urban logistics.
The paper brings together evidence from five European pilot cities – Aalborg, Amsterdam, Borås, Hamburg and Mechelen – and organises the analysis around three main impact pathways: parcel lockers, waste collection, and service logistics. The assessment combines quantitative estimates with qualitative insights to identify both the impacts achieved and the conditions that influence them. (....)
