Samsung Heavy Industries: SHI Publishes `Sustainability Report 2025` (25.06.2025)
SHI has released its 15th annual sustainability report, preemptively covering key ESG trends and insights.
Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) announced on the 25th that it has published `sustainability report 2025` which includes Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management strategies and achievements. 
SHI`s 15th annual sustainability report preemptively covered key ESG contents including: responding to climate change, developing sustainable product∙technology, ensuring industrial safety∙health, enhancing corporate ethics, promoting DE&I (Diversity, Equality, and Inclusivity), and human rights management.
Last year, SHI implemented environmental management policies, which include biodiversity protection and a ban on deforestation in the environmental (E) sector. Additionally, in order to analyze the environmental impact throughout the entire life cycle of a ship, an advanced evaluation system based on seven impact categories such as carbon footprints has been established.

International Distribution Services plc: Royal Mail cuts emissions per parcel by 20% in 2024-25 (26.06.2025)
Royal Mail has announced a strong reduction in its average carbon emissions per parcel delivered - already the lowest in the industry - by a fifth (20%) in the past year, strengthening its position as the UK’s greenest parcel operator*.
The company’s latest Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report, published today, shows average carbon emissions per parcel fell to 165gCO2e from 206gCO2e in the prior year. This is considerably lower than other major UK parcel operators, which have reported emissions of between c.308g and c.547gCO2e per parcel*.

R+V Allgemeine Versicherung AG: KRAVAG bleibt auf Wachstumskurs (26.06.2025)
Die KRAVAG-Gesellschaften verzeichnen bis Mai 2025 ein Plus bei den Beitragseinnahmen von rund 11 Prozent. Damit knüpft der Spezialversicherer an das Wachstum des Vorjahres an. 2024 hat die KRAVAG ein solides Wachstum verzeichnet. Damit konnte sie trotz anspruchsvollem wirtschaftlichem Umfeld ihre Marktposition behaupten.
„Inflationsdruck, konjunkturelle Unsicherheiten und geopolitische Spannungen prägen das Marktumfeld, in dem wir uns bewegen“, betont Klaus Endres, Vorstandsvorsitzender der KRAVAG-Gesellschaften. „Angesichts dieser Herausforderungen freut es uns umso mehr, dass wir den Erfolgskurs der KRAVAG auch im bisherigen Jahresverlauf fortsetzen können.“ Für die ersten fünf Monate 2025 verzeichnet die KRAVAG-LOGISTIC gebuchte Bruttobeiträge in Höhe von 586 Millionen Euro – ein Plus von 7,3 Prozent im Vergleich zum Vorjahreszeitraum. Auch die KRAVAG-ALLGEMEINE knüpft an ihr Wachstum im Vorjahr an: Im ersten Halbjahr 2025 konnte sie die Beitragseinnahmen um 84 Millionen Euro (14,8 Prozent) steigern.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey today announced that its seaport was the nation’s busiest in May 2025, handling nearly 775,000 TEUs. The agency’s commercial airports welcomed 12.1 million passengers in May, including record volume for the month at John F. Kennedy International Airport. The PATH commuter rail system recorded its second-busiest month since the pandemic, reaching 75 percent of pre-pandemic ridership with weekend ridership nearing all-time records, while the agency’s vehicular crossings continued showing strong volume matching 2024 and pre-pandemic 2019.
