Aral Aktiengesellschaft: Babette Kindt wird Mitglied des Vorstands der Aral AG (22. Juli 2026)
Bochum, 22. Juli 2026 – Zum 1. August 2026 wird Babette Kindt neues Vorstandsmitglied der Aral AG. Sie verantwortet dort die Geschäftsbereiche Kraft- und Brennstoff-Großhandel sowie das Flüssiggasgeschäft.
Kindt studierte Betriebswirtschaftslehre und begann ihre Laufbahn 2002 als Duale Studentin bei bp in Deutschland. Nach verschiedenen Aufgaben im Bereich Versorgung, Logistik und der mittelfristigen strategischen Planung im In- und Ausland bekleidet Kindt seit 2019 Managementpositionen im Midstream-Business. Seit 2021 verantwortet sie als Leiterin Supply unter anderem die Tankstellenversorgung in Nordwest-Europa, bevor 2025 auch das Handels- und Großkundengeschäft in ihren Verantwortungsbereich integriert wurde. Das Vorstandsmandat übernimmt sie zusätzlich zu ihren bisherigen Aufgaben als Regional Fuels Manager.

Dubai Airports: Dubai Airports announces new senior leadership appointments to support future- readiness (23 July 2026)
Dubai Airports has announced three senior leadership appointments that enhance its technology, operational and national talent capabilities as it prepares for the next phase of growth across Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC).
The appointments see the internal promotions of Kan Ni from Vice President, Airport Operations Control Centre (AOCC) to Senior Vice President, Airport Operations and the promotion of Khalid Ishaq from Head of AOCC Integration to Vice President, AOCC. Alongside, Ahmad Al Bastaki joins as Vice President, Technology Operations and Cybersecurity within Business Technology.

International Air Transport Association (IATA): IATA Board Appoints Saadia Zahidi as Director General (23 July 2026)
Geneva – The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that Saadia Zahidi has been appointed by IATA’s Board of Directors to the position of Director General from 1 November 2026. Zahidi will be IATA’s ninth Director General and the first woman appointed to hold the position. She joins IATA from the World Economic Forum (WEF) where she is a Managing Director and Member of the Managing Board.
Willie Walsh, IATA’s current Director General, will conclude his duties on 31 July 2026. The IATA Board of Directors has appointed Sandrine Le Borgne, IATA’s Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President for Corporate Services, as Interim Director General for the intervening period.
