Der bundesweite Wettbewerb „LieblingsbusfahrerIn 2026“ geht in die entscheidende Phase: Fahrgäste aus ganz Deutschland haben noch vier Wochen Zeit, ihre persönlichen Heldinnen und Helden am Steuer zu nominieren. Noch bis zum 31. Mai 2026 können auf lieblingsbusfahrerIn.de Geschichten, Danksagungen oder Bilder hochgeladen werden. Bereits jetzt sind mehr als 2.000 Geschichten eingegangen. Initiiert wird die Aktion vom Fahrgastverband PRO BAHN, DB Regio, dem Verband Deutscher Verkehrsunternehmen (VDV) und dem Bundesverband Deutscher Omnibusunternehmen (bdo). Im Mittelpunkt stehen rund 100.000 Busfahrerinnen und Busfahrer im Nah- und Fernbusverkehr

Österreich - Bundesministerium für Innovation, Mobilität und Infrastruktur (BMIMI): Innovative Projekte für Europäischen Verkehrssicherheitspreis gesucht! (6. Mai 2026)
Österreich ist Vorreiter in Sachen Verkehrssicherheit – auch auf europäischer Bühne. In den vergangenen drei Jahren konnten heimische Projekte stets den 1. Platz beim renommierten Europäischen Verkehrssicherheitspreis (ERSC – European Road Safety Charter) erringen. 
Jetzt gilt es, diese Erfolgsserie fortzusetzen: Ab sofort können Projekte für den ERSC 2026 eingereicht werden. Einsendeschluss ist der 10. Juni 2026.
Die Preisverleihung findet im Rahmen der EU Road Safety Conference am 23. November 2026 im Charlemagne-Gebäude in Brüssel statt. Bewerbungen werden in fünf Kategorien entgegengenommen: 
• Am Arbeitsplatz – Maßnahmen zur Verbesserung der Verkehrssicherheit für Mitarbeitende, Fuhrparks und berufsbedingte Fahrten
• Bildung – Initiativen zur Sensibilisierung und Vermittlung von Verkehrssicherheitskompetenzen
• Technologie – Innovative Projekte zum Einsatz neuer Technologien zur Unfallvermeidung
• Stadtverkehr – Initiativen zur Erhöhung der Sicherheit für alle Verkehrsteilnehmenden in Städten und Gemeinden
• Gefährdete Verkehrsteilnehmer:innen – Maßnahmen zum Schutz von Radfahrenden, Zu Fuß Gehenden, Nutzer:innen von Mobilitätshilfen und anderen besonders gefährdeten Gruppen
