• Innovatives Hub & Spoke Netzwerk setzt neue Branchenstandards • Entscheidende Verbesserungen hinsichtlich Zuverlässigkeit und Konnektivität • Rund 340 Schiffe im Ost-West-Verkehr - Die Gemini Cooperation startet planungsgemäß am 1. Februar 2025. Damit nimmt das neue Netzwerk den operativen Betrieb auf, das die Hapag-Lloyd AG (Hapag-Lloyd) und Maersk A/S (Maersk), ein Unternehmen der A.P. Moller-Maersk gemeinsam geplant und umgesetzt haben. Ziel ist es, ein schnelles, flexibles und vernetztes Seeverkehrsnetz zu schaffen, das nach der vollständigen Einführung eine branchenführende Zuverlässigkeit erreichen wird. Bis Juni 2025 wird erwartet, dass alle Schiffe nach dem neuen Fahrplan fahren.

A.P. Moller - Maersk: Maersk to launch its new ocean network (31.01.2025)
Copenhagen, Denmark – On February 1, Maersk A/S (Maersk), an entity under A.P. Moller - Maersk, and Hapag-Lloyd AG (Hapag-Lloyd) launch their operational collaboration Gemini Cooperation. The ambition is to deliver a flexible and interconnected ocean network with industry-leading schedule reliability above 90 percent once fully phased in. Around 340 vessels will be phased in and be a part of Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd’s shared ocean network with the first sailings taking place on February 1, and more vessels will gradually sail on the new schedules.

APM Terminals : Lifting standards — and unlocking opportunities — for the Gemini Network (31.01.2025)
Strategically placed APM Terminals hubs play a vital role in helping to deliver the reliability and predictability ambitions set by the new Gemini Cooperation — a collaboration between Maersk & Hapag-Lloyd. That was one of the main messages in a webinar presented ahead of the big day of the launch on February 1. APM Terminals’ Head of Hubs Lars Mikael Jensen explained that it’s mostly the efficiency and reliability of these terminals that will help ease the flow and deliver on faster turnarounds in the Network of the Future introduced by the Gemini collaboration. By way of example, he mentioned optimally scheduled maintenance and repairs as just one of game-changers made possible by to the collaboration and visibility integration between hub terminals and the shipping lines.
